I am considering buying a 4th gen Max in about 4 months and was wondering if the stock radios (including BOSE) can play CD R's??

Also do 4th gens have a timing chain or belt?

Thanks

CD-Rs, no problem, CD-RWs won't work. And timing CHAIN.

I had a few problems on my old Bose stereo. Sometimes it would say error, but not very often. Whenever it did, i just tried it a couple times and it would work.

Nope, I have only had 1 CD-R not work. It was some cheap CD that I got for free when I bought some computer stuff on e-Bay. Other than that every one has worked.
