Bunch of questions: take a look
I have been reading countless posts and still have a few questions.
A little background about my car. It's a 95 $E 5 spd with 120,000 miles on it. I am a modest weekend racer and plan to keep my car forever!!!! No payments is a sweet thing. If I could only find where the $ I used to use for my car payments has gone. DOH!!!
1. I can never get to EatRiceZone.com, what's up? I want to check into an ACT clutch deal. I am also considering the UR alum. f.w. Good idea? I will get the f.w. from yo_its_ok and the clutch hopefully from the lowest priced place. Are there better clutch options? I have considered Clutch Masters, Centerforce, and I think people even use factory 300Z clutch disks. It's all just personal opinion isn't it?
2. My car is lowered, and when I back into a parking space, if I'm not careful I can ram the muffler tip pushing it in towards the engine. Not a good thing. On two occasions it has dislodged one of the rubber hangers by the muffler. I don't have any exhaust leaks....yet. Would there be any harm done if I cut the tip off closer to the muffler?
3. Of course as I'm posting this all my questions escape me, but I have one last one. After seeing Max's run w/ SC's, y-pipes, etc. they all sound sweet and I know they're faster, but is there a way to make them quicker? I notice everything quotes hp gains. Isn't it torque that gives you launch? IF so, what are good mods for that? I don't have any intake or exhaust or engine mods yet. I am still researching what I want to do. What would be my course of action if I am interseted in 0-60's and not top end? Would this make a difference? Remember it's a stick shift and my daily driver. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
