I was wondering what the 0to60 is on a 4th generation 5spd? To be more specific a 97 5spd. I need to know cause my friend has a GTI Vr6 and that thing is oretty quick. He wants to race on Monday, you think I got a chance?

I have listed these, oh a 100,000 times !! Did you do a search ? Well, the search still sucks so i'll tell you the times.

95-96 Max 5spd

6.5-.6 seconds 0-60

97-99 Max 5spd

6.6-6.9 seconds 0-60

Shoulda bought a '95.

Keep in mind these times were acheived by professional drivers.

97-98 are about 7.1 seconds. If he has stick then he might edge you out. If he's got an auto you'll win.

Ohhh. Damn folks, go out and buy a 95!

7.1 seconds for a manual ?? My automagic is only 1/10th of a second or 2 slower than that!

Yes, I am obsessed.
