im looking for a maxima. the reason im posting here is because im not sure what i can afford. i would like to get (probably next summer) about a 95 (cuz of the newer gen), and i want an se, but ill probably only have about 8k maximum to spend. is this doable for a non-modded in decent shape? or am i asking too much. any suggestions are welcome, but keep in mind im a poor college student.

you might even get a 96 next year, i believe.

I'd say go with the '95...supposedly the fastest, and you'd have a few bucks left over to spend on mods.

Go with the 95 SE. You should be able to find one for around 8 fairly easily. Do yourself a favor and look over the posts by Daniel B. Martin,so that you know what to look for to determine what condition the car is in mechanically. Good Luck
