Simple Light Question...

is it ok to put 194 bulbs into the steplight in the car which are 161? they're both 12V right? so it wouldn't matter? my 194's are blue...

are you sure your car uses 161? The step light is the light that is on the bottom part of the door, right? I replaced one once with a 192 (wedge style). Check your owner's manual. It will say in there what bulb you should use.

yea... the light at the bottom of the door. i looked in the manual and it said 161. but since you put in the 192 bulbs, i guess the 194 are ok as well? i had an extra pair of blue ones lying around because i already had one for the side markers...

When I got my clears, it came with orange 194 and I put them into the doors and they've worked fine for about a year until just last week when one of them blew.
