Try the "Parts for Sale / Wanted Forum"

But budgetexhaust.com has the cheapest - quality yet to be determined

warpspeed - fair price

cattman - nice - a bit expensive

stillen - hide your wallet

You don't like the Stillen- or you think it's too expensive?? How much is it, by the way? Just curious

stop being cheap and buy the one with the best quality. I would rather have 1 high quality mod, than 3 low quality cheapo mods.

He's referring to the Budget Y-pipe. It's the least expensive because it's not mandrel bent. Mandrel bent pipes allow for better airflow ... aka more hp.

Since nobody has done a dyno with mandrel vs non-mandrel, we have no clue what the differences are. Could be even, or could be 10hp. Nobody knows... yet.

Over half the people on this forum are also newbies who dont know all that much. 2/3's of this forum are filled with morons. Personally i feel no rush in modding my car thats why i would rather do it once and do it right.

Cattman makes THE BEST y pipe.
Stillens Flex section to the best of my knowledge sucks big time.
Warpspeed i dont know too many people with it.
Budget - hasnt been in the market long enough to determine.

Cattman also has the best customer service from what i have heard. Thats another reason why im saving up for a Cattman SS y pipe.

Yeah I would not say anything bad abotu going with Budget Exhaust from what I have heard. Everyone seems very happy with them that has one. They are who I am looking at going with very soon.

Assuming you meant that you havn't heard anything bad about Budget ypipes (quality.) How old are they? 3, 4 months? Put them thru this winter and see how they come out, while my Cattman still powers me along.

Newbies: Save the money and go Cattman. You don't drive a honda anymore.

WSP Y-Pipe prices

Seems like a good place to post our prices.

Non-mandrel bent aluminized 3rd and 4th gen $195+ shipping

Mandrel bent aluminized 3rd and 4th gen $225+ shipping

Mandrel bent, TIG welded 304SS VG,VE, and VQ $299+ shipping. This pipe looks awesome and we have had excellent reviews from owners.

5th gen pipe is very near release. Expect to pay about same.

All y-pipes have the new lined flex section and gaskets. All parts made and assembled here in USA.Dallas and Spike (other brother) do all the welding. Many of our pipes are actually checked for fit on our Maximas'. If you decide to buy a Carsound Cat. at same time we will do it for $100. Shipping usually runs about $15. We actually weigh every box and only charge you what the US postal service charges us.If you need to talk to Dallas the next few days I would advise calling him as his computer just crashed.

Re: WSP Y-Pipe prices

Dan,

Can you also get the non-mandrel bent pipe in 409 steel as well? Is it the same price?

Budget pipes have been around a while. One guy on the org reported that he's had his Budget Y pipe for 2 years and going strong. Don't forget that Budget is Canadian--they definitely have bad winters up there.

My main concern still would be the benefit of mandrel bending. To me, the theoretical benefit (haven't seen it proven) of better flow is enough for me to go for the Cattman. Were I to do it again, I definitely would not go Cattman because of the cost and my fitment problems. Sure I could have sent it back, but heck, I'm already at meineke, the old pipe is off, the labor charges will be paid, and the last thing I want to do is have to put the old one back on, send the pipe back (and who knows if it will work the 2nd time around) and then pay for the install again.

I have never bought from Warpspeed but their 304 stainless pipe sounds like a DEAL.
