Porterfield's rule. The R4S is a great pad. They do dust a little, but it's lighter and easier to clean than the stock pads. For a reference, stock BMW brakes dust about four times as much in the same time period. If you mention this site Porterfield will give us a discount. I did all four corners for $118. For the stopping power, you can't beat them.

I have the Porterfields, and they are good pads, but not perfect. The stock Nissan pads are great for cold stops, that is....for those first few stops in the morning when you first start up the car. The Porterfields take a while to warm up (three or four stops) before they begin to perform. Those first few stops on a cold morning with Porterfields are downright scary! It's like the feeling of having literally no brakes. But, I've gotten used to it. I'm not sure I will go back with Porterfields next time because of this warm up characteristic.

I got the ceramic pads from Pep Boys. They were the same price as stock pads from Nissan ($49), but they stop great with less dust.
