Auto to 5spd Tranny Swap?

I've got a 98' Max with a slushbox, and I was wondering how difficult/expensive a tranny swap to a 5 speed would be. Also, would it be possible to put in the 6spd of the 2002 Maximas instead? Has anyone here actually done this, and is it work the time/effort, or is doing a valve-body mod a better alternative?

Thanks!

Been done..

no idea about 6 speed.. Whole idea is to get all the parts from a donor car or tons of $$ from the dealer for the parts..
Here is a link w/ instructions.

Cool, thanks for the link, CBR! That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The idea I had in mind was to find a junked car and get the tranny from it. Hopefully, such a tranny wouldn't be that expensive, right? Around $1K?

Anyone else got any more info on this?
