300zx Brake conversion?

I was talking to a buddy of mine with a 240 and he was thinking that the 300zx brakes (calipers and rotors)is a direct bolt in. If any one has already done this or has researched it please let me know. I already know that I will need to put in a porportioning valve.
Thanks

Are you talking about for the Maxima or for the 240? Is that a 240Z or a 240SX?
