Auto Trans. mis-shift??
Auto Trans. mis-shift??
This happened twice. While driving approximately 20mph I depressed the accelerator to speed up and, when the transmission downshifted the engine spun as though the trans was "in-between" gears. Like when you mis-shift a stick. Of course I quickly let off the accelerator and the trans slipped back into the previous gear (2nd?). The engine didn't reach the red-line but spun as if it were in a no-load condition.
The question is, is this a common problem and, how serious is it? How possible is it that I'm mistaking normal drivetrain function for a problem? (I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so it's not purely retardation).
Any help would be great.

i have about the same on my car, a 95 as well, and i am not experiencing any problems. try changing the fluids. that might help. If this only happens when driving for a while, you might want to invest in a tranny cooler as well.
