Just found Amber 1156 bulbs...
Just found some amber 1156 bulbs at Wal-Mart, they were burried behind some other crap and very dusty. A package of 2 was $2.50, way better than $7 for one. The number is 1156NA
I have never used a dremel, I just didn't know if the plastic needed to be heated to prevent chipping. When I redo this I will definatly get a dremel or something. Are the generic rotory tools good enough for small jobs like this or should I stick with a real Dremel? Wal-mart had another brand roto tool for about $25.
Has anyone who took the red lens out of the side tried putting a red bulb in there? Or does everyone just leave it empty? The red ight would spread into the back part but I was thinking of cutting the bracket that holds the red lens so it would block the red light from spreading to the back.
As much of a pain in the A$$ this was, it was still worth saving $200.

the instructions said that there isn't a way to clear the 95/96 headlights.
the part that i'm not so sure about is when you make clear pieces from the flourescent light covering. how do you shape it into the housing, how do you cut it out, and how hard is that step? i don't understand how that works. can anybody tell me that? do you have pics?
