ss clutch lines

I had a question about the ss clutch lines. Which line does it replace, becauser the only pictures I found of one say that it replaces the upper clutch hose and I was wondering if they made one for the lower clutch hose that connects the slave cylinder to the tranny. thanks in advance and if possible list places to get one because the dealer wants 50 bucks for one and id rather get a stainless steel if they make it

techna-fit makes one that says "1-Upper hose" in their listing but its actually the bottom hose it replaces (I originally emailed the owner of the company and he said it replaced both parts - wrong!) But he said you can get one custom made to go from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder for around $35. You just have to give them the length. But I'm not to sure of the details.

Sorry. I'll try to explain it better:
On techna-fit's website (http://www.techna-fit.com/clutch.html) under the listing of clutch lines they have one listed for a 1994-2001 Maxima Part# NC-210 ($25 + shipping). In the listing, it says "1-Upper Hose." But the hose actually just replaces the rubber hose that connects to the slave cylinder from a small distribution block where the steel lines connect. I think what's confusing you is that the slave cylinder is bolted to the tranny - they don't have to be connected via a hose. Basically it comes down to this:

Stock:
Clutch master cylinder >> twisted steel lines >> rubber hose >> slave cylinder

With Techna-fit part # NC-210:
Clutch master cylinder >> twisted steel lines >> SS clutch hose >> slave cylinder

What you (and I) want:
Clutch master cylinder >> SS clutch hose >> slave cylinder

That last one is the one you have to get custom made because they don't normally make them.

I hope I didn't confuse you more.

ok thanks I think i got it now..i already picked up the hose from the dealer, but I can return it. The only thing that confuses me now is that the dealer hose has a metal bracket on it and the ss one doesnt look like it does..
