climate control

hey guys just wondering if the digital climate control from a 95-96 max, would work in a 99? are they the same? I was at the junk yard today and came across one and my buddy that owns a AC shop said he would be able to make it work, but just wondering if they are the same thanks in advance guys.

from the several threads I've seen, the only ones that will work together are 98-99 and 95-96. So no, 99 won't work with anything but 98-99.

I've looked into putting an auto climate control system into a Maxima that has a manual one.. but it turns out it isn't worth the amount of money, time, and complexity of the project. There's more than once sensor around the car..

Just my 2 cents.

The 95-97 look different then the 98-99. Only one way to know for sure...

I'm going to try this in my '96 GXE. I have a '97 GLE parts car FTW. It looks like the ECC has half the wires of the manual. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I'm sure I'll make a thread about it either way. I just gotta wait for my '96 to get back from paint.

You should check out Gunny11218 post. Maybe you could swap controls with him. Or maybe he has found out the answer you asked.
