Installed cone filter, but getting Service Engine light
I just installed a generic cone filter on my '97 maxima all I did was gut out the existing stock intake and popped on the adapter and a cone. In the process of installing it I took the boost sensor (i heard this serves no purpose in regulating the engine) from the air ram scoop and zip tied it on a safe place and the other sensor off of the lower end of the scoop. It sounds great and all but i'm getting the orange service engine light. I tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting and leaving it disconnected for about an hour and reconnecting both were unsuccessful. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
Try finding the error code from the ecu and then resetting it. Check this sticky for more info.

When I installed my cone filter I ziptied the ambient air temp sensor so that it was between the srut tower and the cone filter, with space all around it. That is the same area it was originally in. Maybe you put yours in a bad spot?

Where did you put the Ambient Air Temp Sensor?
