Stock GR2s with s-techs

Ok i know this is the second time posting about suspension but i really wanna get the ball rolling here so im trying to figure whats the best setup. I've got an se so i have GR2s from the factory, now 130,000 miles. Someone said if i lower the car the GR2s will blow within a week but then again this person never lowered a car. So...I wanna go as low as possible on stock struts(cuz im broke) and s techs seem to give a nice low drop. Im also looking to maintain stock feel, i dont race or corner hard so i have no need for stiff suspension. Can i use the s-techs or is there something better or should i do nothing because i'll end up paying for new gr2s in a week?

Do it right the first time. AGXs or Illuminas.

If you want to maintain the stock feel, don't get S-techs. If you want to use the factory struts, don't get S-techs. If you want your car to look cool and ride like crap on the bump stops, get S-techs and keep the stock struts. For what you want look at something more like the H&R springs.

Drinks on the house to z32drifter, lol. Btw, what should i be feeling for to know if i have a blown strut? I'll look in to the H&R springs now.

I wouldn't do anything lower or stiffer than the two least extreme springs for the 4th gen, the Maxspeed or H&R.

Maxspeed is IIRC 1 inch drop or so and has close to stock rates, H&R is like 1.3" or so and has slightly elevated rates, but nothing too noticeable.

Also: best option IMO is just to man up and shell out for some good struts, Illuminas or Konis.

I guess you did miss something because SE's have GR2s stock. Atleast 97' does. Its been confirmed by a few other orgers. I would man up for Illuminas but i just dropped 500 on a new exhaust and 100 on o2 sensors and next week i gotta dish out 200 for new front tires. Im trying to sell a few things like the old headlights and some paintball stuff but it wont cover all that much. I just hope the H&R's wont look fugly with my stock 16's, because thats the way its gunna be till after the winter.

I've been running on GR2's with S-Tech for 3 years now--maybe it is luck. They still work fine. Obviously, if I hit a pot hole I will bottom out, but other than that everything rides fine. Your region/location plays a big role too due to different temperatures and road conditions.
