Hi:

The other day my dad was driving my Maxima and I was driving his car, and I noticed that the rear of the car sags allot.

I really don't want to buy lowering springs to lower my car because the roads are horrible where I live, but I am willing to lower my front end a little to compensate for the sag in the rear.

I was wondering what kind of drop I would get if I cut a half a coil from the stock springs. Has anybody else done this?

I'm not worried about the shocks because I'm planning on getting some AGX's.

Oh, I almost forgot, does any one know why 4th gens sag so much in the rear?

Thanks!

Ya need to get one of those stickers that says ' No Fat B!tches'
you'll find that after a while it'll come true.

But on a serious note prob from towing of carrying heavy loads.

you cut your springs and your car will ride worse than if you dropped it with some springs..

get some H&R's they ride more comfortablebly than stock and the give a nice 1.5 drop..

yeah I know
It's looks like most stock maxima's seem to have a saggin ***. Mine has a sagging one too. I measure the clearance in the front(front the fender to the top of the front tires) and the back and noticed that the font has a bigger gap. I guess it comes with age...just like body parts...hehe. Will H&R's with KYB fix the sag?

It seems like that a little more because our rear fenderwell is cut lower than the front one, so the rear gets closer to the tire faster than the front under loading.

I think US spec Maximas have the donut spare, and Canadian Maximas have the full size spare, presumably for all the snow they encounter.

The front has a bigger gap because it's designed that way. About 1/2". No voodoo here.
