which MAF: $250 Cardone, $110 New Chinese, $70 used

Help guys, this trilemma is tearing me apart. I wana buy a MAF sensor hoping that that will fix my running rich problems and also the stalling under WOT. It garbles and backfires every time I step off the gas too.

I changed the knock sensor and oxygen sensors and both times I thought problem was fixed but it came back the next day. I wana try the MAF now but can't decide what to buy.

1. New (actually recycled OEM) from Cardone for 250

2. used for $70. What I don't like here is I don't know if it will be reading right.

3. this
I emailed the selller and he told me that a small factory in Chica is making these for them. I don't know how accurate signal this will have..

WHat would you pick?

I would actually happily pay 70 for used original MAF if I were sure it sends correct signal. But what if it's someone like me who got a new one and sells his bad one on ebay? I read about the MAF sensor test but the test is in 90% of cases inconclusive.

The new Chinese thing would be a sweet deal if it were reliable. I would buy any other sensor or part from China but the MAF is way too important.

How is it tested? Resistance under closed and WOT?
Where did you get it?

What are you smoking? It's not the most important sensor in the car and its not the only sensor in the car for sure.

I bought used MAF for my 99 off of ebay ($60) and it worked perfectly. The guy had feedback score of like 5,000 and had return policy so I figured little risk for huge savings.

Good luck.

I found out one of the crank sensors is the most important sensor, cuz it allows you to start the car!

Check that sensor as well.

Here's a cheap MAF.
