the way i figure the price is this.
i paid 3700 for my 96 GLE with 141k on it. it had PERFECT leather, sunroof, ac worked, etc. etc. only thing codewise was the KS.
all four tires though were in poor condition, and the windows were not tinted.
so lets say i did 4 tires and a full (quality) tint job. id say about 400-450 for the tires (costco) and 200-300 for the tint. thats 700 right there roughly. 700+3700 is 4400.

but i dont know jack about infinitis. all i know is that they are almost identical to the maxima, at least in the 4th gen.

are they known for having certain mechanical problems more so than a maxima? or less? do they have a knock sensor (i assume they do) ? anything else worth mentioning?

 

Wow $300 for tints? Thats outrageous. Mine were $160 lifetime warranty. Look around if you think they cost that much. Tires are about right. KS can be replaced for $65 (i think). So you should be in good shape. Sounds decent.

Yes, they are identical, they're made by nissan, tons of plastic things say nissan, part numbers for things like the knock sensor have the same nissan part # and come in a nissan box. The only differences are the exterior and some minor interior things, oh and the little plastic cover on the engine, other than that they are identical to a 4th gen yet better, most came with vlsd, it was standard on all i30t's and '99's.

The color is Platinum Iris (It's silver but at an angle it has a purplish tint to it), it's what I have on my max--as for the tint, u should b able to get Lumar tint with a life warr for $150-200 in the Ft. Laud area. If u have a buddy that wants tint I would ask the shop for a discounted rate-this is what I did with my friend's Altima and I got it tinted for $125 out the door (Lumar).-->good luck

a 97 SE in mint condition. being sold by the son of a 90 year old woman who can no longer drive it. leather, sunroof, white color, new tires.
i havent seen it yet, but its 4900 dollars.

yea thats right, i didnt forget a 1. it has 41000 miles, less than 4000 miles a year.

bumper and fender are supposedly scratched somewhat, the passenger leather seat area has a crack, and the CEL light flickers (this is all stuff the guy said over the phone).

im going to see it today after work. ill let you all know.

 

i bought it. 41800 miles on it. one owner, a 90 year old woman dying of cancer. 4500 bux. 2 grand less than bluebook. the interior is filthy, but the engine, tranny, exhaust, struts,shocks, are all solid. sunroof, leather, bose has barely been used. needs a little cosmetic help, but its a steal at that price. ill have pics up in a while.
