Man. do some searching. theres tons of info on the MEVI. Through google not a lot of the links work, but if you clicked the "cached" you can still read the threads.

here you go, MEVI stands for middle eastern variable intake. what it does is as your rpms increase, the intake manifold changes the flow the air takes into the engine. this allows the engine to continue increasing power above ~5000rpms where as for the USIM (US intake manifold) doesnt have this feature and the power levels off at high rpms. The amount of power it gives you varies on what you have with it such as your ecu and rpm switch. i dont have a MEVI but i hear if set up right you can get about a 20hp gain.

you can find them used in the classifieds or at courtesyparts as mentioned earlier, they are around $300.

personally id rather have an 00VI or just do a de-k swap but we'll leave that discussion for another day

edit: its not that people dont want to help you, its just that this topic has been covered a million times and you basically asked the most introductory question possible.

Needs more clarification, i.e. which areas of the PB are affected.

mastere954, you make a good point that this is a forum for ppl who have questions....HOWEVER, READ THE F'IN STICKIES FIRST!

Damn, can we make it any more clear?

People are screwing with you because you obviously have not read those many helpful posts at the top of the 4th gen page. LIKE IT TELLS YOU TO!

Understand that we don't automatically just hate you for no reason.

....I realize that all it would take is someone to just give you what info you've requested, however if we did that for evey newbie that happens across this forum, we'd never get anywhere.

Now go read them grasshopper. Specifically, the thread titled MAINTAINENCE and MECHANICAL Information.

We're done feeding you.

i understand different areas of the PB are affected and the power at certain areas are affected differently depending on your ecu and whether you have an rpm switch or if you just tie the valves open like some people do. if he wants specific power and torque specs then here you go

thats the same thing every new guy says when they come in here and get yelled at. Moderators spend their time putting info into sticky threads so people can easily find the information. The don't do it so people can come on here and ask questions and have everything pointed out to them...People need to learn how to read for themselves and not be spoon fed. You can learn a lot in this forum without asking questions that have already been answered but no one new does that. They just ask questions then get mad when people don't want to answer it and give links (which they don't read anyway).

Mine does that to!! But only when I go faster than 88mph, I'm starting to think it has something to do with not using a genuine nissan flux capacitor.

IMO, a post like this should be left unanswered. If nobody replies the OP will either give up or be forced to go out and search.
