My car has been smelling somewhat funny for a few weeks now. But I could not find any thing wet. The other day I noticed some mildew stains the passenger side floor. And it felt a little most. So I pulled out the passenger side set, and pulled up the carpeting to find the sponge underneath was soaked. The carpeting was already very bad (last owner was very clumsy and smoked ). So I took the glove compartment out on the passenger side to find the A/C evaporator was dripping water. I checked under the car and some water is still dripping under the car.

So I decided it was time for a carpet, $30 and 3 hours later, I pulled an almost new carpet and for door panels out of a junk yard car. and four more hours they were installed.

So I read through the stickys and found this. Link, so how do I clean out the A/C Evaporator? And will Nissan give me a new cowl top cover, since the originals were defective?

I was lucky to see this before it got to my ECM
