Show or Go?

Well being around these forums makes me wanna modify my car even more now, but to be honest im not really going to race much. So would you guys recommend to just do exterior mods such as wheels,kits,etc....or should i still do some engine upgrades? do you guys think its cheesy to just have your car looking good, but not have any engine modyfications?

i'm a show guy but feel that a car should be well rounded whether show or go. intake/exhaust at the very least.

Well you do have a pretty fast stock car, and you're not into racing, go show!

I don't plan on going to tracks anytime soon. i will mod the engine later im just wondering wheter i should focus on exterior first?

You answered your own question. Go with 'Show' mods.

And asking us what to do with YOUR car is pointless. Don't let us influence your decision. Do what YOU want.

Give it a nice stance by dropping it first.

Thats a question I had to ask myself.
Part of going show is having a nice thick sound during acceleration.
A car that looks great, but sounds like crap isn't going to get you nearly as many points as you would with a nice purr during acceleration.

I would say save your money and buy a Mustang GT or a z28 Camero or a Trans Am or anything RWD and then mod that.

Put pink dots on it, w/ 22" wheels. Convert AWD (driveline from G35x), and use an RB series engine.

It wont matter either way because once you start modding you'll end up buying both performance and show mods.

Explain to me how what I said is flaming. I have a Max too and I want RWD. What I said is the best idea so far. If you still insist on making the car fast buy a turbo kit. They about 3.5k for the Max but build your engine first.

2006 mustang gt, i beat it in my max by a fender length, z28 camero, i have raced an rs and he *****ed out when i shot off the line in front of him, he slowed down and said he didn't want a ticket, trans am... wtf if you wanna talk abougt fast "RWD" try 300zx or 240sx or something i mean f^@% oh and i don't have a turbo and my max is still fast... you obviously don't have a very good motor in your max if its not fast ftw

Z32's arent that fast unless there TT, 240sx shouldnt even be considered a fast car.
A six speed Trans Am would own your NA VQ.

on Flava's comment......

"240sx's are fast" LOL

Eror 404: Fast Maxima not found

Your examples are poor... you also make no mention of the year camaro. There's a big difference in HP numbers when talking about 93+ camaros vs 82-92 camaros. BTW, Z28 =/ RS. If you're talking about the 82-92 camaros, RS's came with 140hp. Z28's (5.0L) of the same generation came with 190hp. Z28's (5.7L) of the same generation came with 220hp.

Those I think are pretty cool, actually. Massive motors in tiny cars is always a cool thing.

Then again there are those people that like to put piston engines in RX's...every time that happens, god kills a litter of kittens.

All I'm saying is that RWD has the most potential which is why I suggested what I did.

Other than the fact that an LS1 RX7 runs something like 10s and 9s it's not that bad.

The LS1 is the best thing that happened to the RX7 and some people put it in s2ks and 240sx's.

Since when is running 9's with an LS1 in an import wrong? Who cares as long as you get there in 9 seconds?
