mine was doing the same thing. it would shift perfect the first 20 minutes of driving the start shifting hard up and down. bought the aw55-50 shift kit and had American transmission and air in st. pete Florida install it for me and now shift perfect even after driving all day. It is defiantly worth trying it out, no need to remove the trans to put kit in and is a 5 hour job.

i would say the same thing drop resistor or low fluid/dirty fluid if that all check out including the tps the line pressure solenoid may be on its way out.

to the people that are bashing the auto mine shifts fast always hits the redline and never misses a gear i believe it will out shift a manual any day of the week

I'm a noob about transmission problems. Recently drained and changed oil + filter. Shift from P to R or P to D4 is hard. i have to push quite hard to move. Moves as if some notch or some thing is in the way. any ideas? What is rear mount? Where is resistor you guys are taking about? I wish I can get from some one comments with explanations/ location of components they mention! thanks a lot. Very useful forum - some time entertaining too
