stainless steel muffler>rusted hinges, will it rust through(pics inside)

stainless steel muffler>rusted hinges, will it rust through(pics inside)

thinking of buying this stainless steel muffler but i need to know if that surface rust will rust through eventualy or no way that can happen

ummm i am not sure but i think there is another layer under the rust.

no kidding the welds have to rust.. especially since somebody hacked it up like that... think about it.. they welds arent Stainless steel, so they rust.. and since they are welded to the body of the muffler they will cause rust holes on the muffler.. the reason is because when they weld to the muffler body it burns the SS metal..

by the way i wouldnt pay 10 bucks for the pos

If it was very cheap, get it and have it while it last. If it's kind of a lot, screw it and get a new one.

yea if i were you i wouldnt bother with that one, start off fresh cuz there is nothing as annoying as a leaky exhaust.

i would go get a new one, that one looks like it's in a rough stage, those are some hack welds.
