Rewire ground by O2 free wire?

Hi.

I have a starting problem when the engine is hot so I would like to rewire all the corrosive ground wires to Oxygen free wire (for audio). How about that? Are the 12gauge O2 free wires better than normal wires for ground?

Thanks.

It's worth a try. lol n00bs on here are going to tell you to use 0awg but 8-10awg should be sufficient.

I seriously doubt your problem has anything to do with your grounding points.

If you haven't done so already, start with checking the ecu for any trouble codes.

I don't have any trouble code at all. When the engine is cold or cool like in the morning, it's fine. However driving 5~10 min. later, the engine is hard to start with a long crank time. I'v been dealership twice. They told me it would be igintion coil, crankshaft sensor, or ECU problem. But they've not guaranted. It just the best guess at that time (it was last month). I'd like to find the solution from you guys.

I will replace all ground wires to O2 free wires except for battery wires. Because the OEM battery wires was ordered. Do the other ground wires need to rewire 8~10 gauge wires? I think the old wire aren't that much thick like the engine ground wires.

Thanks.

I would go with the dealership recommendations,as all the parts they mention tend to fail after the engine/and related parts heat up. Start with the cheapest part/s first(It might be a good idea to get all the dealer recommended parts from someone parting out their car in the classifieds to save money)

Again i stress, you will be most likely wasting your time/money replacing the ground wires, but if you are dead set on the grounds being the problem, then just try cleaning all the existing ground mounting points first.

These cars very rarely have ground point issues.

I already replaced 5 ignition coils. I'm thinking about the crankshaft sensor now.
However what can I do for ECU? I wouldn't buy another ECU.
Thanks.
