New radiator leaking: manuf. defect or something else?

About 4 weeks ago, I installed a new radiator on my Maxima. Today, when I driving back home, I noticed that the temperature guage was jumping up and down whenever I accelerated. Got home, and opened up the hood, and noticed a very small leak below the neck of the radiator. I checked the hoses, etc., and they look fine.

Could it be just a manufacturing defect or could there some underlying problem causing the radiator to fail?

I had replaced the thermostat a couple of months back, and have lifetime warranty on the radiator (I can always get it replaced), but was wondering if I need to check/fix something else before getting a new one.

Thanks
