4th gen wont start

Got a 1998 5sp and suddenly after driving for about 20 min car mysteriously shut off, I tried to restart with key no help. I poped the clutch in 2nd and she started but then cut off again. I towed it home and we figured out that it keeps blowing the fuse labeled ECCS for some reason. Anyone had this problem????

Hmm...I would change the ECCS relay under the dash. Not exactly sure where it is, but I've heard it was buried pretty far up there. It's a somewhat common problem that causes no start, and it died on my buddy while he was driving too.

Damn steven, there must be some bad blood between maximas and you. First the '95 auto, now this one?

First thing I'd look for is any loose/uninsulated connections by the ECU, see if anything could be shorting out against a ground.

don't know about eccs, but i have seen igniotions switch do the same thing as well. that would not explain the eccs fuse though. just a thought as a backup if the other proves not to be the prob.
