I made them my self man. Takes a lil time. Cost wise i bought alot of leds more than i need. but all together it was around 160 in parts. I have made some of that back by selling some off.

Wet sanded them with 1500 so not to leave marks. Then i went over it with 320 so the paint would stick. Then paint away.

I did these too . These are off of my other car.

Those nightshades look real good. *Thumbs up* Looks real clean. I'm going with Carbon Fiber shades I think, but fitment I'm worried about. They say they just clip in, but does it stay in? Is there big spaces, etc?

Sorry but I'm still pretty new to all of this. I was thinking about buying after market tails, but none look good at all. I'm going to go with the custom LED tails with covers.

Thanks.

I wetsand mine with 1k,then go up to 1500 and finish off with 2k
I wetsand in between coats, and then after the final coat. I then buff them real good with a plastic polish.

i used black gloss spray paint on mine and it works the exact same, you can still see my brake lights in the day but its hard to see the tails during the day, at night it doesn't even look like they are painted when they are on

Black paint is not recomended for that reason. My lights can be seen in the day time as well as night. I dont think it is a good idea to paint your tails unless you dont mind rebuilding the tail end of you car

in the day you can see my taillights just not very good but my brake lights show up perfectly

the black paint comes from a trick used to hide taillights, you mold the original taillights or any kind of light in and paint over it however you don't put but one or two coats of paint over them and no primer that way it gives you a shaved taillight look

But it doesnt do the same man not even close. Paint is no where near nitshades. any one that paints will know this. SO do you think it is safe to ride with black taillights? no not at all. Niteshades is transparent paint is not nor was it meant to be.

Um regular paint is transparent if you put straight light to it yes. But do you really know how restrictive your stock red plastic is? then you put way more restriction on it? Thats all im saying. I paint cars for a living man so i know how transparent paint is . It is no where as good as nitshades and woulnt recomend it to any one that uses there car on any city street . Its dangerous and just plain stupid. WHY indanger your self to save 3 bucks? Is you life not worth more. People cant drive as it is and you are just asking for some one to hit you doing something like that.
