How do replace the exterior door handle on the driver side rear door? i cant slide the metal bar into the slot and screw in that nut when the whole Lock/ Door opening system is in the way?

Can anyone help that has done this before?

doing those f-ing handles are a pita. im never doing them again...

did you unscrew those 3 large philips countersunk screws for the latch? you need to do that if you havnt already. that way you will have more room, also you'll be able to access the nuts from sliding that latch assembly back. its going to be a very tight fit though. when you put everything back together, be very careful so you dont lose and nuts and make sure the locks work as well. good luck!
