Airbag Control Unit (ACU)

Anyone know where's the least expensive place to get this? My airbag light is flashing and after hooking it up to the dealers computer they said it's the ACU.

Also how hard is it to replace this? Estimated cost?

Need some help.

thanks

Have you tried resetting the light first?

Get in the car and leave the door open. Turn the ignition key to ON but do not start. Immediately after turning the ign to ON, push the switch in the door frame that turns on the inside light 7 times within 10 seconds. Start the car without turning the key to off. The airbag light should blink slower. Turn off the car and restart. The light should go off after the initial period.

If the light starts blinking after this you might have a true problem. Make sure all the cables are secure under the passenger seat.

johnno, you probably already know this, but if you're going to buy one used, make sure that the seller can guarantee that it didn't come from a car that had the airbags deploy. i have seen them in the classifieds and also on ebay. send a msg to fanaticrockford on this site, he has possibly every part under the sun.

Just realized this is a month old
