Wrapped Y-Pipe
Wrapped Y-Pipe
I've heard alot of people complaining about the noise the after market Y-Pipe makes, especially the Warpspeed. My Warpspeed is a solid, no flex section. I had the same tinny sound so I decided to take a suggestion by another member and put header wrap on my pipe. In my opinion, header wrapping the pipe worked very well.
Here are some pics. I know how we all like pics

Asides from the fact that you damn floridians tick me off with your complete lack of corrosion, I like it.........
ALOT.
How long does it take from the time it's in the air and what's the cost of supplies?

I second that one. My car looked like that after i replaced everything. But it looks good man.
look good, but I think you should get a flex section welded in, its there for a very solid reason.
Your setup can last for a while like that, but you'll end up with a big exhaust leak at some point.

Well it looks like it's got a ball and socket type 'flange' (mating area? not quite sure what it classifies as), which should provide enough flex for the exhaust.
Wow, that's one clean underbody. Also, that's weird that you have no flex section on the y-pipe. I ordered mine from Warpspeed as well in a group deal a few years ago and it came with it?
Sorry, wrong punctuation mark. I meant a period, not a question mark. I didn't know this was an English class.
I was just stating how it was different that his did not come with a flex section from WarpSpeed and I ordered one though them as well and it did. I didn't know they offered it with or without.

Yeah, mine has that same flex section set up. It works very well. I researched it and it looks like that style of flex section is what Honda used, not sure if they still do, on Civics. Some other car companies have used the same style as well.
