if it is not CA/NLEV then you should be alright with the YG4.

as you can see in the pic above there is a big yellow circle around two sensors just below the engine. if you go check your car, and you have just two sensors, you have a fed spec car. if you check and you have 4 sensors, then you have a cali model. hope that helps. there is also a way to tell by your vin number too but I forget how.

here is the easiest way to tell on maximas/i30's from 95-99
as you can see in the pic above there is a big yellow circle around two sensors just below the engine. if you go check your car, and you have just two sensors, you have a fed spec car. if you check and you have 4 sensors, then you have a cali model. hope that helps. there is also a way to tell by your vin number too but I forget how.

There should be a sticker on the hood letting you know. It is under neath just read around at the bottom I think and it will mention something to the affect of "This cars emmisions passes as (enter california or federal here) laws and blah blah blah. It is something close to that but it will mention either one or the other.
