What is missing?!!!

Hey all, In my 95 max with 128000, I have replaced the knock sensor, cleaned the TB and IACV, cleaned the fuel system with Gumout, added a place racing CAI and a Warp Y, put some copper NGK plugs in, use synthetic oil reccomened by the site, changed the fuel filter, and I have a K&N filter on my CAI. But still it feels like the car is holding back, it feels like its missing something, like that extra power. It doesnt have that pushed back in the seat power you know? What can I do? How can I get the most possible power out of my baby?

You're saying it lost previously good performance using the butt dyno?...or do you just want more?

No codes currently, but I will check tommrow for some ghost codes. I was saying that my max should feel somewhat powerful with my performance mods, but it doesnt.

Well the only thing you did that you would feel on a butt dyno would be the y pipe...Everything else would just be regular things...

If you just changed your ks it could take a while to get your timing back to normal. Your mods are robbing some low end torque too.

Are you running an auto or manual tranny?

I love driving this car around in the winter when its nice and cold; the car pulls a lot better. My car is bipolar, but when its feeling nice and strong, if I floor it from 3K rpm in 2nd gear the blood rushes into the back of my brain. Its a nice feeling until you realize you are doing 60 in a 25(allegedly).

That extra power you want comes in two forms, turbo and supercharger. Pick your poison, good sir.

do u have the rest of the exhaust or just the y. if you have the y going in to stock cat back thats not letting the y do all it can def get a high flow cat and after market exhaust if you haven't already

Yah I'm planning on getting a Magnaflow High Flow Cat, with a Vibrant resonator, a custom bent b-pipe and a magnaflow muffler. All flowing at 2.5 inches. You think that will do the trick?

The results you seek comes in the form of more fuel, air and spark (fuel pump, injectors, tunable ecu), forced induction or tuned VQ35. Your mods are basically improving mid range power a little at the expense of your low end power and aren't improving your accel. times.

You have a good start, now pick your poison. I'm keeping my 3.0 NA and going with the e manage ultimate this spring.

I think you're seeking more displacement grasshopper. The sacrifice in low-end may be the result of some mods ...but in general it sounds like a larger engine is in order. Is it time to consider a newer ride with a 3.5?

I think everyone is right so far with your mods you are doing high to mid power. If you want more kick in the a$$ pull on the lower end look to drop a 3.5. There is tons of documentation on this in this forum. Also with the exhaust again you are going to gain more mid power. I def would look into some sort of ecu/tune so you can take more advantage of your mods. Emanage is good or technosquare.
