Hey. I just installed my KYB AGX's and my Ground Control Coils tonight. They were easy to install with no problems. I have the fronts on 2 and the rears on 4. The ride is great. The car soaks up the bumps and holds the road like a Benz. I think its a great combo! I will be happy to answer any questions.
BTW - I ordered a Jaguar tonight. S type Silver/Black, with the Memory Package, Weather Package, and Sound Package.

Right now I only lowered the car 1 inch from stock height. I wanted to make sure everything was alright, I figured if something was wrong I would have a better chance of not damaging something if it wasn't dropped all the way. It will be dropped the full amount on Saturday. As for the Jag, a stick was not an option.Originally posted by SprintMax

1. Where are you located? I live in NY and the roads out here are horrible, pot holes galore(especially in Brooklyn). What size rims are you running? I plan on getting some 18's so i need to know how the ride is with bigger wheels and what setting I should place the shocks at if I do decide to get them.
2. Can you get me a new job?!?!?!? lol. Got a max with mods and just bought a new S-type!?! I need to be working where you work bro. I just got in on the Y-pipe group deal and i'm tapped. Maybe i'll start a shadygrey fund on the forum. I'll start it in the test post and see how it goes. LOL!

1. I have 17" rims (See Sig) I live in NJ and would not go to NYC with a dropped car, hence Coilovers...hehe.
2. I work in the computer industry and I am 20 years old. I will be 21 in December...and just to **** people off, my License plate on my Mercedes is "Erik 80", I was born in 1980.

So what's the advantage of having the coilovers? I have an H&R/GR-2 setup but i'm sitting on the stock 16's. I was thinking of just saying the hell with all of this and just getting the Cattman Coilovers after I heard everyone complimenting on how well it worked.Originally posted by tifosiv122

Anyways, I work in he computer industry as well but you still didn't answer my question about the new job. LOL. But seriously, glad to see that your accomplished at a young age. I was thinking of getting another ride but I think I want a House to park it in first.

My questions:
1. where did you get all your stuff and what did you pay?
2. list all the parts you got other than the coilovers and the KYBs. (ie. did you get camber plates?)

Wow, the last post before today was 10/24, I thought this was dead. Um, it corners like its on rails but I feel every and I mean every bump in the road. I hated the stock setup because of the body roll even with the fstb and rsb.Originally posted by NISMOPower

1. Cattman - I think it was $380, $20 shipping and $50 for the dust boots.Originally posted by theblue

I got the dust boots. Thats it. I put on 1500 miles so far, no problems. I had a ping sound right after I had them installed (coils) but some grease fixed that.Originally posted by Nick97SE

Question for ya...what spring rate did you get? Or did you get the defaults? Did you order directly through Ground Control or through a distributor? thanks.Originally posted by tifosiv122

I got the stock spring rate...according to Ground Control, only one kind made specifically for maxima. I got it at my local tunning shop.Originally posted by Gotrice4

First of all, congratulations on your new Jag!
With Ground Control and KYB AGX combo, was the install pretty straight forward or did you have to do some special cutting/drilling such as with Koni inserts?
Anything I should know before I pull everything apart and install?!
Thx in advance.

Wow, this thread is real old...thanks for brining it back from the dead. As far as the Jag, well Ray Craptina delayed it becuase it came in wrong...so now it looks like 1/18/02 delivery date. As for the KYB's and GC's I didn't do the install myself, but they didn't tell me they had any dificulty doing the install. There are several people on the board that have the setup, I think I was just the first. Originally posted by dashingMax
