I found this link www.customenterprise.com but I am sure they should have the product your looking for. Yes, they were out of business and someone took over.

I got a exedy oe replacement from irp on the group deal section. You will need at least a stage one I'm sure to support your mods. Jeff was easy to talk to and took the order. The holding/clamping force was I believe 36% over stock with a stage one. He even declared the value way low (~25us) so I could avoid most of the ups "brokerage fees". He shipped it quickly also and I rec'd it within the week. Shipping confirmation was made within the day. I'm in Canada so that was pretty darn fast.
What is so special about that clutch kit? I don't know that much about act.

Can't say enough good about jeff at irp.

the deal thread.
hope that helps you out.
there is another thread in the group buy section with act clutches....

Yeah, if your looking for a clutch check the GD section. That 3exedy Stage 1 clutch is a really good clutch. Grabs great and the pedal isnt too stiff. It is stiffer then OEM, but wont give your leg a workout.

sorry to somewhat jack this...but it is about clutches.
when everyone says "5th gen clutch", are they referring to 00-01 or 02-03? Advance Auto has the 4th gen clutches and 00-01 clutches listed as the same part number, but everyone talks about them being different. so i was just confused

I have a a exedy stage 1 that is burnt up really bad right now. im sure it was from not being broken in well. it performed just like u said but then the slipping started and now its toast. i just ordered a SPEC stage 2 clutch from the GD section and am looking forward to gettin it put in this coming week. the price was pretty good compared to other sites.

Whats Mods do you have that would require Stage 2? It wasnt untill I was boosted that mine began to slip, and just barely.

5th gen pressure plate has something like 20% more clamping power, mainly because of the heavier 5th gen chassis. An '00 or '01 clutch is a direct replacement upgrade to a 4th gen.

5.5gens had a different bellhousing altogether, so good luck with that...

man im having a very tough time trying to figure out which clutch to buy? i see now the act NM1-HDMM has been superceeded with the NM1-HDSS. the trouble is one person may say a certain clutch was great and another will say it sucked ?

i just pulled out an exedy stage 1 racing clutch. it last 17,985 miles. it was burnt, toasted and roasted , I mean it was cooked chicken. i would like a clutch that will last but do what i need it to do on the strip. so confused.

i liked the exedy stage 1 but i wouldnt buy it again. it was better than stock but just didnt last for me.

Who said the RPS sucked? Because it really is sooooooooooooo awesome that if someone said it sucked I need there name so I can call them out on it.......

ACT on the other hand, you can find people on either side of the boat. Definitly not hard to find people that think they blow.

True, but there Z clutchs have been around for ages and over on TT.net they are highly regarded over ACT. I have to agree just from being able to see act & rps side by side for both the Z & maxima clutches.

I have an offtopic question for you. What kind of motor mounts do you have?

On stock motor mounts does reducing tire pressure reduce wheel hop in hard acceleration?

If you go for an exedy clutch, use an OEM TO bearing - don't use the **** that comes with the exedy package.

rps used to be turbo clutch. i wouldnt really say they're new to the max. their 84-01 clutch for the max is the same part number for sr20det.

I just got an OEM Exedy. Can you reuse the original one or should I order a new one? Why is the one that comes with the Exedy crap? Where can I order the OEM one from? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

I would suggest going to the dealer and getting yourself a brand new one. If you're going to go through all that labor (or spend on it), the 30 bux TO is worth it.

The one that comes w/ the exedy clutch is a POS. The ears are weaksauce and will break.

i would agree. IRP have been great to deal with. i talked with spec, rps (turbo clutch) and IRP. At the end of the day it came down to money. I would have went with RPS 1st but on my time schedule and budget IRP's price on the ACT-NM1-HDSS was hard to beat.

Next time I will try the RPS ! I did like the Spec Stage 1 setup and they have a lightweight pressure plate option that was cool. Will just see how the ACT does. Looking at shipping time to my US address and then shipping to New Zealand. So at least two weeks total on that.

Im not to good with mechanical terms but it appears my rear main seal or whatever was leaking oil on the flywheel and is what took down my exedy stage 1 real quick (photos) : http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=396775&page=2
