cold starting problems

okay...whenever i start my car in the morning it always does three things...

it turns for a while..then it'll weakly a couple times then starts.

there's also a loud belt like squeal that i hear right when it starts

ps. the noise sounds nothing like a starter problem cause i've replaced it before.

Might be a loose serpentine belt? Check your belt tensioner bolt.

thats where I'd start, take it to autozone or somewhere of the like they should test the battery for free.

could be a vacuum leak, but if it "squeels" probably a belt

a very common cause of premature starter failure on our cars is a poor ground/lack of ground from the starter and tranny to the body. Have you installed a good ground yet?

Yeah this is a good point, when i was finghting a weird electrical issue i installed six 4 gauge wires all over the engine bay for extra grounding, 2 of those went from the starter to the chassis, and from the tranny to the chassis. right away i noticed quicker starts so i know this had an effect on the car.

In general, after poking around different electrical connectors around the engine bay, i noticed the grounds are not that great and very exposed...
