When I ran the engine diagnostic it gave me code 0707, in my haynes manual it gives me two different code ID's: Downstream O2 sensor or circuit fualt, or Downstream O2 sensor circuit slow response fault. which one is it and how to fix it, I got this after installing my shifter, the only thing I did with the O2 sensor was remove it from the cat converter and then put it back in when I was done.

yeah I saw the thread after I posted, now I just need to look at the connections. After reading about what the downstream sensor does, it doesn't really need replaced right away right?

 

Get one from courtesy nissan, tell them your on the .org, unless your check engine light goes away.

 

When you removed the sensor from the cat, did you disconnect the connector under the seat? If you didn't, then when you were turning the sensor, you put a lot of stress on the wires and may have damaged it. The correct way to remove a sensor is to disconnect the connector and as you are turning the sensor the wires will be turning freely and won't be all twisted together.

 

I just untwisted all the wires from the connector and reset the ECU and no light has shown up yet so hopefully it is ok for now, I don't have a job right now so I am kinda straped for cash a little.

 

It isn't really critical to replace, but your engine won't like it a whole lot. If you need a new one, let me know, I've got a guy at Nissan of Olathe who will cut you a pretty good deal.

 

I'm gonna get one as soon as I get a job, which hopefully shouldn't be too much longer, by the way, guido if you want those lights that you saw in my car I will sell them to you, I put in my other cool blues or whatever and they match my fog lights better, let me know I can bring them to the meet.
