Torque specs (help needed)

Torque specs (help needed)
re-installing my valve body and was wondering if there were torque specs for mounting it back on the transmission, or for the pan bolts. any help is appreciated.

Oddly enough, I don't see any torque values for the VB in the FSM for either a '95 model nor a '97 model.
Basically, snug them up with a quarter inch ratchet, and it'll be good to go. Spec is probably 8-10 ft/lbs ish, that's what I've seen for the VB on almost every automatic I've rebuilt.
EDIT: Nevermind.

so i should be good with
pan bolts ... 7-9 lbs
drain plug ... 29 - 39 ??
but what about the bolts that hold the VB to the bottom of the transmission I've got em all separated i just didn't know if they had torque specs or not, i got the ALL DATA instruction but it leaves me at where PMOHR showed me to go.

What, the RAR files? You need an archiver that supports the RAR format.

Phohr ... that is I believe a 98 FSM .... not 100% on that, but it's what I am rebuilding my manual with ... so I hope it's a 98'. lol I agree that 7-9 lbs seems a bit tight .... how thick is that gasket anyway?

The 29-39 for the drain plug seems off, to me. In in/lbs it would seem far too loose, in ft/lbs seems like it'd strip out the pan. The threads on the inside of the pan aren't the sturdiest. Then again, it is a 19mm head (probably 16 or 17mm bolt) so it might be able to take it.

dunno. I would have thought the FSM would give the year on it. lol Anywho, so the pan bolts at 7-9 seems ok then? What about the VB bolts and I agree, corks for dorks! Last gasket I put in was in my g/f's 95 Buick (oil pan gasket) and it was not cheap, but it seemed to be made of good material. Newer stuff that when I was playing with small block Chevys and S-10 PUs.
