I love my Greddy Cat-Back. I love the loud sound and the rumble.

tifosiv122: how loud do you think it is in comparison to stock? Any way you can make some MP3s or something? I'm sorta considering a catback, but I don't need the loud rumble on a constant basis. It'd drive me crazy.

its loud, and even louder with a y-pipe. dont get if if you dont want the loud rumble. if your car is automatic, its only loud when you are on the gas, and cruising 70+ on the highwway. i believe the stillen is quieter.

Its not that loud with out a ypipe. With a ypipe it absolutely roars which I liked at first, but became bothersome overtime. I sold the ypipe in order to keep the aggressive sound of the Greddy. I hear my intake over anything else including the greddy. It does not sound anything like a honda. I love mine.

I heard the Greddy cat-back, put on our maxima, sounds NICE. Not ricey, and very similer to a V-8. A nice realistic grumble instead of that ricey ****. Am I right ?

I've had my GReddy cat-back system on for about 3 years, now. And my Cattman SS Y-pipe for about 6 months or so. It's louder than stock, but it sounds great. The engine breaths much more freely, especially with the Stillen hi-flow intake on there, too. I had an immediate, seat-of-the-pants improvement in acceleration, especially at the top-end. It doesn't rattle, buzz, or drone. At idle, and under moderate acceleration, it purrrrrrrrs. Under hard acceleration, it has a deep baritone growl. At WOT, that baby wails! And it shines up nice, too. Most of the comments about it have been very positive. I'm glad I decided to get one, and I would recommend them to you. Good Luck.

Maxima coming thru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This exhaust sounds nice. It doesnt sound like a greddy on a honda. Sounds like a V8 like someone said. It got a bit loud with the cattman y pipe but I love it, looks and sounds good and it tucks Ill show a picture in a minute. You should see the nice grey catback piping looks nice. You wont regret getting one and it will give your car a couple of horses as well.

Thanks, from what you guys have said about the GReedy catback. I'm for sure going to get one. I was a afraid a catback would make it sound too ricey, which is really what i don't want. I want more of a deep throttle sound, which GReddy, for what i've heard from you, can provide.

JAY25: your car is sweet i like the stance for your car. What suspesion mods have you done to the car...what kind of lower springs, camber kit and gas shocks did you get? Hows the ride after the suspension mods. Also i see you have a body kit, stillen right? So do you have trouble going over speed bumps...does it scrap the underside of the car? Do you have to be cautious everytime you hit a bump or anything else of that matter. And your exhaust is the SP GReddy cat back, right? Well if it is i'm ordering mines right now. Also what is the size of your wheels. Dam you car is hella sweet!

I try to order sprints no one had them so I ordered dropzones, then I was bored and it was raining I took off my new dropzones and cut off a coil off the intrax and that is what I have now so my car is evenly dropped. I have Koni adjustables on the car. Yes is a stillen kit. When you park just dont get too close to the bigs cement parking blocks. My kit is now scratched up since I made a quick turn and hit the sidewalk running away from my crazy wife. Na I've been over big speed bumps no rubbing. I have to go over a big one to get into the garage at work but no rubbing. Rims are 18x8.0 with 245/40 18. Yes the exhaust is the SP exhaust I paid too much for it $615.00 installed. And keep in mind I live in New Orleans the roads are very rough out here you can ask these other two guys on the org, Cumalot and Mardigrasmax they can vouch for it. I love my Konis and when it comes to good quality your gonna have to fork out the money and pay for it, and install it yourself like I did none of these mods are hard is like a small little puzzle take it apart and put it back together is just time consuming thats it. Take care and email me if you have anymore questions.

I've been wondering about this too. I have an aftermarket muffler, but its just one of those universal jobbers you get off ebay. She droans anywhere between 2-3k rpm's but i can **** around it. Now with my ypipe I have to shift even more different to avoid the droaning sounds.
With teh GReddy or even Stillen exhust setups, does it only droan between 2-3k rpms, and then at WOT? Or is it different. I use my max as a daily driver on both backroads/city and on the highway and most of the time i want it to be nice and quiet.

i can't wait until mine arrives!! i'm tired of my electric motor silent car. i love to match rev/double clutch all the time. i want to hear my car hum more like a race car! it's all about having more fun as well as moving quicker! might as well unleash the "inner voice" the maxima has been hiding all these years.

I have the intrax and i cut off a coil in the front only, the ride is alright you dont bounce all over the place. My friend rode in my car he said it doesnt feel like I cut nothing off just feels just fine. I do have koni adjustables so if I dont want a rough ride I just loosen up the shock and it will smoothen the ride. With these cut intrax you dont bounce all over the place the only difference is if you go over a deep pothole or lots of bumps hell yeah youll feel them so I just slow down, whether you have 18's or your stock 15's cause for winter I usually install the hubcaps back on. If you guys live up north I feel bad for you guys cause of the damn snow and salt. Now if your city has lots of potholes like I do here in New Orleans then you may want to reconsider. Most highways are smooth and thats where youll do lots of your traveling. About the corner lights I know I havent had a chance to replace them with clears as soon as I get a chance Ill replace them, great luck my home clothing drier just broke now that sets me back about $250.00.

its pretty good. PRice is steep, you can acomplish this with other exhasut. If i had another choice, go with the apexi WS exhaust with big piping. Only reason i went with greddy is b/c its street legal. I live in ca and cops are $%!$%@$#. Good luck in which ever you like !! I also have a 98 GLE!!!
