I agree with shingles. The book was expensive, but it has allready paid for itself. I could litterally take the WHOLE car apart and put it back together with it.

Where can one obtain that manual? Is it worth it? How much is it?

No I think he is talking about FSM... that's what I was talking about. Haynes is not expensive anyways...

I think he ment Haynes, no way, as in no way it's a good book.

For me FSM in the only way to go.

Factory service manuals for 4Gen Maximas may be obtained directly from:
Dyment Distribution Services
20770 Westwood Drive
Strongsville OH 44136
1-800-247-5321

Dyment accepts payment by credit card.

I paid $119 for the '99 factory service manual. This book is worth the high cost if you do "serious wrenching" on your car and need the wealth of detail it contains. If you stick to routine service (oil & filter, brakes, spark plugs, etc.) you may find the Chilton or Haynes aftermarket manuals satisfactory. Of the two, I prefer Haynes.

I am very satisfied with the Chiltons manual

I bought from Amazon.com. w/shipping = total less than 20.00. Real photos!...not drawings.

Also, I picked Ground shipping and it still came the next day.
