is the wrx worth trading my max in for....? i mean 5-speed turbo all wheel drive.....but subaru? i have just had it for less than six months and i just miss having a 5 speed and knowing that finding a 5 speed 99 with leather for what i want is impossible.... i dunnno a friend of mine is supposed to be buying one today so i should test drive his huh?

I personally think the all the WRX's got goin for them is the speed and AWD. If that's all you care about then that's the car for you.

yes its a darn good car if you want speed and 5spd.. awd, yeah that would be fun - dropping the clutch at redline and actually getting your best times doing that ? haha - sounds like a lot of wear too though..

my thoughts = its uuuugly..

i agree. i don't like the front nose of those subarus. back in high school some kid had a one of those imprezas and was parked right behind my car. i looked at it and laughed. i have nothing against the engine and performance of that car, i just don't like the look.

Hmmm, tough decision. If you want huge a$$ launches then go with the WRX. If you like going fast though, stick with the max. The AWD makes the car LAUNCH, then when the turbo kicks in, you are OUT! But after like 90 the AWD slows it down, so on a freeway race the max would take it easily. Quarter mile, the WRX beats down the max. As far as looks, all i gotta say is MAXIMA!!!!

Anyone who says the Maxima can even come close to its speed is a liar. It is fast as hell, and it will always have that. However I would not take it over a Maxima, because the Maxima is still a stately car no matter what you do to it. The WRX looks like a pre-riced from the factory car. It looks cheap and the Subaru badge doesn't help much. The Maxima has always been known to be a realiable, luxury-sports sedan. You see 60-year olds driving it, and you see 16-year olds. I have never seen anyone over 30-years old driving that car. Sure, its fast and it grabs attention, but its just not as refined as a Maxima.
