I replaced my spindle and hub assy with another one today on the passanger side. When I got to connect the outter tie rod back to the spindle the nut would only screw on half way and the bolt spins together with the nut so I cant tighten it all the way.
Does this mean I need a new outter tie rod?
Is it hard to unscrew the outter tie rod from the inner tie rod?
Is the car going to be out of allignment if I change the outter tie rod?

yes - but you can get it tight if you dont feel like changing the tie rod end right now. use a flathead adn pry down while turning in order to stop it from spinning.

no - not the easiest thing but not too hard. make sure you count the turns as a referrence for when you put on the new tie rod end

yes - if you count the turns and measure before and after you may be close, but the car will be out of alignment a bit.

I would put in the flathead through the top against the bolt and spindle to lock it? Wouldn't that mess up the rubber boot?
There really not much room to do that...

the boot is fairly durable. but the proper thing to do would be to change both tierod ends.

impact gun wont help use a 19mm deep socket and a C-clamp, first screw the nut down, the best you can, slip the 19mm socket over it with the c-clamp on top of the tie-rod as hard as you can, the loosen the c-clamp and see if you can tighten it down then if it still spins, thendo the same as before minus the deepsocket attach the c-clamp on top of the tie-rod and the bottom on the next to the tie rod nut, it will be at an angle buit should hold enough pressure to keep it still, good luck, if you cant get it, ill be free today, you can bring it by my crib and ill help you out.

lmao @ these suggestions. why not just throw some black powder in there and blow it off? why would he torch a nut when the only problem is the tie rod being bad?

I bought a new tie rod end. Went to 4 different stores and I only found one. The thing is that the hub bearing is a bad and I need to redo it again when I have time.
The car is still in alignment.

I appreciate everyones help.

Do you have anything to take out the ****ing hub bearing from the spindle? I don't want to use a hammer like last time caz I messed up the spindle. That's why I had to get another one.

That's what I paid at Pepboys to have them take out the old one on the old spindle and put in a new one.

I even had one bull**** shop quote me $150 for each to take it out and press it back in.
