i got sumitomo HTR H4s 205-65-15s on mine and they are pretty fing great.

great wet traction - i dont even think about going 90+ on a rainy I95.
treadlife - they were new when i bought the car at 41k. i got 47 on it now and they got at LEAST 60% if not 70% life.
not loud at all, but pretty soft sidewall, which explains it.

anyway im gettin new wheels/tires in about a week or so. ill sell you these if you dont mind getting used tires.

and yes i looked at the sumitomos. those are also a definite candidate

I got some Bridgestone Potenza G009's on my 96. Stock rims tho. these things grip like a mother. i dont hesitate 70 on Hwy 65 out here. pretty much a road with minimal straights!!

I wouldn't go with some cheap off brand tire. I've worked at America's tire co/discount tire co. for over six years now and so many people run into separation problems with off brand tires. go with something good like and with a mileage warranty. like a yokohama yk520 or the new michelin primacy mxv4. both carry a 60k mileage warranty, and are h rated.

Yeah, you wont get 60k miles out of azenis. My roommate has to buy a new set every spring. Also, they are horrible in the wet and absolutely useless in snow (but youre from FL ). In the dry, however, there is pretty much nothing better besides r-comps.

Currently we have the Potenza 009's on our 99 Maxima in that size. Very good tire and reasonable price. Think we paid around $65/tire from Roadway Tire about 1 year ago. Previous tires we had were the Pilot XGT's. Another great tire but also more than twice the cost.

If you don't want something too expensive I would go with Khumo SPTs. They are cheap, and actually work really well. They grip very well in dry and hold well in wet. I can go 80 on the highway during rain with these on and they don't even hesitate, haven't had them for long yet but so far i'm really impressed, definently for their price.

I used Michelin MXV4+ before going to 16inch. They never leaked until one tire took a nail in the side. That set is still in the garage. Now I have Primacy MXV4.
