Turbo on my 95 maxima

This is kinda of a noob question...
Can someone tell me how much can a stock 95 maxima engine handle psi (from a turbo kit)

I am thinking on putting a turbo kit on my stock *** maxima after i rebuild my engine (currently the car has 152K and there is nothing wrong, but i will rebuild just for the turbo). I will probably throw in an intake. And i am not sure exactly what comes in a turbo kit... And also how much would it cost me to install all that stuff professionally?

Turbo kit is gonna run you at least 3 grand without everything you need. 8 PSI is what most people throw down. After install, you're looking at around 6 or 7 grand.

From what you're talking about, it sounds like you don't need to be buying a turbo kit until you do some reading. A LOT of reading. No offense, it just sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.

get a civic, then you can run crazy horse power by just slapping some stickers on... one NOS decal will get you appx 243 hp before a tune

I don't get it Are you implying the 3.5 can handle more power/boost/torque? Or that it's a better option than a turbo kit? Your post is very vague.

Based on this post I'm sure you could blow it up before 6psi.

So why don't you do that instead of posting? Bring about 8K with you and end up with a so so "kit".

Then why did you even make this thread? The point we're getting at is, if you're not educated on the subject you won't know how to drive, handle, and maintain a boosted car. Having someone build you one is one thing, owning it is another.

I suggest that you dont even drive a car. Why the **** would you rebuild an engine that is good?
I feel your maxima's pain.

what i would do is drive it until it needs to be rebuilt or you have a major problem and then upgrade it after you do some reading. its not as simple as bolting on a turbo.

After you build your motor with internals FOR the turbo (this means forged internals, upgraded rings etc.) you will need a tuning solution and much dyno time to tune. Probably using Emanage. Since that is what seams to work best. Kzoosho is the main person to talk with since he is on here a lot and is running more boost than most people successfully.

To answer "how much psi can you run" is hard since we don't know:
-What compression are you going to run after the engine is built?
-What size turbo?
-What size piping and intercooler?
-What size injectors do you plan on using?
-Are you planning on tuning it correctly, or just running it somewhat stock after the install?

These are the BASIC questions you need to answer before we can vaguely answer yours.

The comments towards you taking somewhere are b/c most people do not boost the Maxima with a turbo, unless it is custom work done by the owner. Shops are used to the norms of Hondas, 240s etc. Your Max is a bit different. There has been a lot of knowledge collected on here over the years, by a lot of people. These ARE the experts. We have made the mistakes on OUR cars and learned from them, then listed here. Enjoy your Maxima, be good to it and it will to you.

8psi is probably a safe guess....and yes like stated earlier, about 7-8 grand roughly will be the cost.

LOL everyone keeps talking about engine this and engine that. Turbo this and turbo that lol, how come no one recommended upgrading suspension and braking first. It's obvious the noobie doesn't know much. Hey 19Max you just offended some people talking that professional nonsense, cause this website contains allot of information that no certified mechanic can brake down to you. Before you consider putting all that horse power under a hood, work on your suspension first. You can't handle power with out being able to maintain your car grounded.
