Honestly I'd feel sketchy with spraying floormats because they see a lot of wear. I would rit dye them black because the color would hold up a lot better.

hmmm it looks really good in the pics from people that have done them. Just would like to know how theirs are holding up. I may just give it a try, If it comes out like crap or wears off I just respray it or just buy new ones. This fabric spray leave any funny smells in the car?

Pics youve seen are of freshly sprayed mats. No one is going to post pics of the worn ones. In time, sprayed mats will eventually lose the color.
Just buy new black mats and be done with it.
Im pretty positive its going to have a funky smell, unless you air them out for a few days after spraying them.

If a product isn't what its made out to be people should post about. That is what the Org is for,it keeps us all informed. This is in response to people not posting about faded carpet after using the fabric spray. If I was one of the first to use this product and mine faded.. I would post pics about it and let fellow Orgers know.

^^

there was a member who posted that his headliner paint was fading where his visor flips up onto it. my thinking is that if a flimsy little visor can do that, what will your feet do to it? especially if you've got a 5MT... just sayin'...

Yes. I've done my whole headliner, rear deck lid, and visors. It is holding up well but that is because it is never touched.

I'm sure it will look like **** after a couple days If you spray your floor mats with it, that is NOT what it is intended for. lolz!

Plus it leaves the texture a "crispy" instead of a fabric feel.
