Which 4th gen have black dashboards?

Do they come in only specific color combinations, or it doesn't matter?

 

black interior usually has black dash..

 

Ive got black everything except gray carpet

 

pearl white 95 max gxe with black dash and gray seats

 

color combos, white can have both, green has tan, black has black, white can have both right?

 

My interior has grey cloth w/ a black dash.

 

Same as mine..

 

Some years they used the sereno (sp?) interior with black.

 

Black 98 SE w/ black leather and meridan package has a black dash.

 

Some greens have green dashes, like me Sage Mist Maximas will have green dashes. The tan just can't work in there.

Not necessarily, my black GXE has tan cloth. I freakin hate TAN in general, if it was tan leather, I would probably be able to live with it, but this tan cloth is disguisting.. If I decide to keep this car for a while I'm going to convert my whole interior to black. including black leather seats, all carpeting and all dash and door panels.

 

I still don't get why you bought this car. You don't like auto, tan interior, other stuff. Why didn't you shop for the right car that would satisfy your needs?

My defense is -
I got a good deal

I could not decide on auto or stick.. I am still not sure! To be safe and knowing I could sell it easier I took the auto, besides 5spds were harder to find. I loved the exterior color. I bidded on a pearl white 97 GXE w/ charcoal interior and a sunroof and it went for 12,000$ which is 1.5 grand more then I paid for this car... I waited for a while and more then 1/2 of the Maximas at the auctions were gone, a few of the dealers who were buying every damn maxima left and I got lucky on this one. I love it but the interior color is not what I would like. Also my dad was b!tching about lending me a few grand if I bought a 5spd. The tan interior is probably the biggest thing I hate.. the auto is not bad, I love it most of the time. I don't race, I just want a 5 spd for durability reasons seeing how my 3rd gen tranny held up like **** and I rarely took it above 4.5k RPMs. The things I would like my car to have is leather, climate control, spoiler, fogs etc.. basically be an SE but the SEs were too pricey for me, although if I waited I could have found something, seeing how Vlad (NYC GXE) just got a mint superblack/tan 97 SE 5spd w/ 53k miles and every option except heated seats, ABS and auto tranny. for about the same as I paid. Oh well, I may be able to sell my car for the price I paid for it in the next year.

 

No more automagic for me man. I love my max but sometimes I wish it was a 5-speed, then I would probably keep it for a little while longer. Well, next summer I'm getting a 6-speed with HLSD, fully loaded except for Navi (I'm good with directions, no need to waste more than $1.5K on that)

 

What kind of dash kit you got in your sig?

 

It's not actually a kit, per say. I took off all of the pieces and painted them. Cost me 10$ (3 for each can a paint, plus 4 for the clearcoat) and about 4 hours of labor. In my opinion it looks better than any kit. Plus if I scratch or burn it I can always repaint it.

I may be wrong, but:

The 4th Gen White with Tan does not exist.

All 4th Gen White Maximas have Black interior.
However, it's cousin, the White I30, has Tan Interior.

Yea, you're wrong. There are actually two white Maximas in my neighborhood with tan interiors. Tan doesn't work for me, I like my black interior so much better.

I like that idea about painting your own dash. Maybe I'll do that when summer rolls by. I plan to take off the cheap wood one that came with my Max because it's cracking anyway.
