injen CAI question
had to remove the lower section.. so i now have a setup like a short ram.. TB, pipe, MAF, cone filter. is this bad? notice a slight loss in low end power but revs up like crazy.. anyone done this??

Had CAI. Had short ram. Now have stock airbox.
Aftermarket intakes do little to nothing for us. So I'll stick with a stock airbox and have better filtration.
I'll be looking for a 5th gen airbox soon.

Injen sucks. I made a thread about it somewhere, with the lower part on, the top end SUCKS..seriously, past 5500rpm, it took FOREVER to hit redline, even longer then it should have, the usim sucks power bad up top too. I converted it to a short ram, and given it wasnt as loud, because i was using the stock intake resonator still, but the power was there, perhaps a slight loss in low end but mid-top was greatly improved!
What i recommend doing is using your stock midpipe, with the stock intake resonator, that way your filter is back in the stock location and isnt taking in all that hot rad air..
Oh and im sure it does help, i took off the splash shield that is right infront of the tranny to help circulate some cold air in there while driving.
