ses Question

its about time for my inspection but my ses light is on does this matter or will i have to put a rejection sticker on there i dont have enough money to fix my knock sensor at the moment i was jus wondering if it would pass

Knock sensor won't light the CEL. You have another code there.

It depends on your area, look up your inspection guidelines and see if it's an instant fail for illuminated CEL.

I know that at least here in Mass, SES/CEL is automatic fail - they wont even look at the rest of the car. I talked to a few inspection places about this. However, I went to get a rejection sticker at a place that I havent been to before, next to my mechanic's and they just completely ignored the light... go figure

Hey Anik where u at?if your in jersey i know of a guy he passed me with my CEL on but i also passed emissions, if you don't its more $$$

knock sensor isnt the prob.Get the codes and see what it is.

i live in mass i guess like somone said its an automatic fail wich sucks for me. i know a guy that would pass it but ill have to give him like 200 bucks atleast

It's probably cheaper to just replace//fix whatever is wrong with your Max.

Pull the codes like everyone has said and go from there.
