Horrible Startup Problem With My Max!!!Please Help

I went to go start up my 1995 Maxima tonight, and it was COMPLETELY DEAD! My radio and ac came on so it wasnt the battery. The engine made no attempt whatsoever to startup. It did sound like it "turned over" It must be a broken fuse or something or that sort, maybe electrical. Maybe somehting with my ignation switch. I called AAA and they tried jumping it and they had no clue. I had it towed to a shop. Why is my max totally dead. i need immidiate feedback. Thank you so much

What else.

Does the starter turn over, or is it dead to. If the starter doesn't go it is dead. Tell us more.

If the lights and everything else came on, it could be the neutral/park switch on autos or the clutch interlock switch on the 5sp. Do you have any kind of car alarm installed?

I do have an automantic. . .and i tried switching the gears and starting it in neutral. I dont know what the problem is. I only have the stock security system on the max. It could be that . .maybe a fuse.

The starter does not make any attempt what so ever to turn over. Its just useless. I sent it to a mechanic. No feedback from him yet. what is wrong :-(

Sounds like either the neutral position switch or the starter solenoid has gone bad. You've already left the car at the shop, so relax....it will get fixed.
