sorta ot: sub boxes

any of you guys that have aftermarket strut tower bars...how did you do your sub boxes/amp racks in regards to the bar?

im asking because it would be nice to put the sub(s) against the rear seat, but that means the bar would probably be right in the way of the box. any ideas how to get around this problem? its very important cuz i might even be cutting out the rear deck, which makes the bar even more important...

thanx,
eric

Re: sorta ot: sub boxes

when you make the box.. make it so that the strut goes through it.. just cut an indention in the box.. but the rear strut brace is pretty much worthless anyway.. in my opinion.

coming from a 98 prelude that had every bar imaginable on it,
I am curios to why everyone says a rear strut bar is pointless

Taken from the Maxima.org MaxFAQs:

What does the rear strut tower brace (RSTB) do?

The rear strut tower brace stiffens up the tops of the strut towers. It doesn't effect the rear as much as the front. The back of the car is pretty solid, unlike the open space in the engine bay.

In my opinion the rstb does have an effect, and I will get mine as soon as I find a good deal on them.

I don't have the RSTB, but I will take your word on it, and won't get it. As for the UDP, I want my engine to rev quicker and I got it cheap so I don't feel bad about it.
