Does it require ant modding? I really like the sound they make but I still am looking for something nicer and deeper.. I have a Magnaflow (like the greddy sp2) and I just don't like how quiet it is...

No it's not direct bolt-on, which means it requires modding. The only way to get the 350z exhaust tone is to simply buy a Z or a G.

i would try getting my hands on a sedan g35 axleback, but i doubt it will still sound anywhere close, i wonder what the factor is for it to sound that way, i mean they almost are same engine right?? but try that

Being similar engines has little to do with the sound.

Your cars will sound like *** if you have any sort of unequal length aftermarket y-pipe.

Seriously, completely different design here. Not much a fan of them, personally. Heavy and awkward.

nmexmax, by equal length you mean the 2 downpipes must be the same length from each header to the merging point, right? I'm probably going to be making one soon

Your car will not sound like a 350Z/G35 because it is neither of those two cars. Its not even the same engine unless you are swapped.
Your car will not sound like a turbo'ed car either unless it has a turbo.

True equal length is probably right next to impossible on an FWD car, but if you can get close

You are wrong, sir. Ricers overcame that obstacle.

+1

if you want something nicer and deeper magen's exhaust has a really nice tone but not as deep as magnaflow's. add a y pipe you will get much deeper tone but louder too.

exhaust........ kinda vague there. to make it sound like a 350 or a g35 i think two of them would make it sound more like it. and a vq35 would probley help a little bit. obviously..............

+1....

My Altima sounded somewhat like a g35/350, but it was a 3.5 and i had a hks hi-power exhaust on it.....

the vq35's all sound good, it wont sound identical to the g, but alot of people accually put the altima se-r exhaust on the 3.5 se altima's and it sounds almost identical to a g....youtube it.

By nature, yes. Very easy to ruin it, though. Too many times I've heard clips of people who think their 3.5L Max's sound "good" and it sounds like absolute crap to me.

The best cars sound like loud nice growns.

And you might as well be a ricer, considering you're jealous of how a turboed car sounds, rather than performs...

For those of you who have not seen the under carriage of a 350z/g35, it is not a true dual, they use a y-pipe which connects both banks together and it is a single pipe to a dual exit muffler. im not sure about 07+ they might be dual but i know 03-06 arent dual.

Anyhow if your car is equipped with a VQ35 it can sound very similar, but it will never sound exactly like a g35/350, its more then just muffler that gives the sound, if it isnt a equal length exhaust before the merge it just wont give that sound. the g35/350z id say have a perfectly equal length exhaust stock, which is why they sound the way they do, very smooth, but as you can tell some exhausts dont sound as nice as others do on them.

to sum it up, your vq30 will never sound like a 350z/g35.
